Alteya is a power catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, and the breadth a catamaran's hulls give her shapes every hour aboard. On the main deck, the saloon and aft cockpit become one continuous room when the wide sliding doors are drawn back. A meal, a conversation or an idle afternoon moves easily between shade and open air. Light arrives from above through a skylight and from all sides through deep panoramic glass, so the sea stays in view from the sofa. Below, her hulls hold the cabins, each with a bathroom of its own and set well apart from the life of the decks.
Forward, a terrace on the bow is furnished with loose chairs and loungers. A lounge tucked out of the wind suits coffee at first light or a book later in the day. The aft cockpit sits close to the waterline, which makes it an easy place to dine outdoors and the natural starting point for swimming and the toys. Above, the flybridge is her most open space: a bar, a barbecue, a table for long lunches and broad sun pads, with views over the water in every direction. Guests wanting company and guests wanting quiet each find a deck of their own.
An aft garage houses the tender, a Grand Golden Line with Yamaha engine. A hydraulic platform lowers it to the water with little fuss, then serves as a step into the sea. From here guests reach a Sea-Doo Jet Ski for licensed drivers, a SeaBob, a paddleboard, adult water skis, a wakeboard and a towable, along with snorkelling and fishing gear. Those who keep up a routine on board will find a spin bicycle, a TRX system, sport bands, dumbbells and a yoga mat. A massage table eases the hours afterwards.
Her crew is led by a captain who puts safety first and knows the waters she cruises closely. She sails in Greece, where that knowledge shapes each day's anchorage and passage. Attentive hospitality staff look after the cabins and the table, and the chef cooks with Mediterranean flavours and fresh local produce. Evenings can be as lively or as still as guests wish. There is music through a Denon sound system, a salon television with satellite channels and Netflix, WiFi throughout, and cards, backgammon and chess for slower hours on deck.
