Nova is a Lagoon sailing catamaran, broad of beam and steady underfoot, built with comfort at sea as much in mind as pace. She holds an even keel under way, which makes passages restful and lets a cup of coffee stay where it was put. Her crew sail and keep the yacht, so the days can turn on swimming, lunch and where to anchor for the night. She cruises the Aegean with its Cyclades and Dodecanese, Halkidiki, the Ionian and the coasts of the Peloponnese, the Saronic Gulf and the Sporades, all of them Greek waters rich in quiet bays and harbour towns.
Below deck there is a master cabin, double cabins and a bunk cabin with stacked berths, a layout that makes room for children alongside the adults. Air conditioning runs throughout, so the cabins are cool to return to after hours in the sun. Each guest cabin has a television, DVD player and its own audio system for a quiet hour alone. In the saloon, a home cinema with BOSE sound makes an evening film easy, while WiFi and an Iridium satellite phone keep a line open to shore whenever it is wanted.
The aft cockpit and the flybridge are laid in teak, pleasant under bare feet, and the flybridge carries the helm stations, so guests can sit close to the crew as they sail. The bimini and a sun awning keep the glare off, a BBQ stands ready for lunch at anchor, and music plays outside through the outdoor audio system, with an ice maker for cold drinks. A hot and cold shower at either stern step, together with a deck shower, washes off the salt, and a hydraulic gangway on the port side lowers to the quay.
The stern is where the water begins. A hydraulic platform lowers the RIB, ready to run ashore to a beach or a cove the yacht herself cannot reach. For towing there are adult water skis and kids' water skis, a kneeboard, a tube and a wake board; for gentler hours, snorkel gear, a paddle board, a kayak, fishing rods and floating mats. With Harken deck gear and electric winches, Raymarine electronic navigation, radar and an AIS anticollision system to hand, the crew sail her with ease, and guests need only decide what to try next.
