ONE is a Pershing motor yacht shaped around a simple pleasure: covering water quickly, then stopping somewhere worth the stop. Her pace alters the whole character of a day. A crossing that would fill a morning on a slower boat becomes a short run, and the hours it frees go to swimming, to trying a second anchorage, or to staying longer over lunch. She cruises in France, Italy, Spain and the USA, and in Greece as well, and in each of them that speed gives the itinerary room to breathe rather than a timetable to keep.
When the anchor is down, the toys make the case for her. The Seabob pulls a swimmer smoothly under the surface, while the SeaDoo jet ski answers those who would sooner skim across the top. Behind the tender, the wakeboard and adult water skis give the more practised guests something to work at, and the SUP is there for a quieter paddle along the rocks. Snorkelling equipment sends others face down over the seabed, watching fish turn in the light. Nobody has to keep the same pace as anyone else.
Between the sea and the evening, life aboard stays unfussy. The salon has a TV and stereo, with satellite channels and hookups for your own phones and tablets, so a film or a favourite playlist is close at hand after a long day outside. Onboard Wi-Fi is there for those who need it and easily ignored by those who do not. As the sun drops, the BBQ is lit on deck, and supper becomes a matter of grilled food, a cool glass and the boat swinging gently on her mooring.
Her crew are what turn all of this into something effortless. They manage the anchoring, launch and recover the toys, and judge when an afternoon is best left alone. The Genius tender carries guests ashore for a walk through a harbour, a meal on land or a beach that only a small boat can reach. With a toy list this broad, she suits guests who want their days active and in the water, and who like to have every piece of equipment ready before they think to ask.
