PAREA is a wooden yacht of traditional build, her profile drawn by a clipper bow forward and a rounded canoe stern aft. She was shaped at a yard on Syros by Greek craftsmen, and her timber gives her a warmth you notice the moment you step aboard. Her character is classical, yet what runs beneath it is thoroughly current, and she is kept to a high standard throughout. The mood is easy and unforced: she is for those who would rather settle into a rhythm of their own than be entertained at every turn.
Every guest cabin is a double, so each couple aboard shares the yacht on equal terms. Outside, she offers two distinct places to live, one at the bow and one at the stern, which lets the day move about her. Coffee can be taken forward in the early light, a long lunch aft in the shade of the bimini, and a cold glass as evening comes on. The sundeck above has been redesigned, giving room to lie out with a book, doze in the sun or simply watch the horizon.
She was refitted, and the work brought stabilisers that steady her both on passage and at anchor. The difference is felt most after dark, when a quiet bay stays quiet beneath you, and on longer runs between islands. She cruises Greece, and her crew can choose each anchorage to suit the day, so a morning swim, a lazy afternoon and a peaceful night may all be had in different places. Starlink keeps you in touch when needed, and there are books, board games, a projector and a Smart TV, with music through the salon stereo.
Much of the day is spent in the water. A SeaBob, a Fliteboard Air Yuzu E-foil and a Sea-Nxt Scooter suit the adventurous, while the Paddleboard Spinera, Paddleboard Aqua Marine and Kayak AM Laxo Double make for gentler exploring along the shore. The AM Island Platform floats alongside for lounging on the surface. Behind the Oceanic tender, with its Suzuki outboard, come the Water Ski Adult, Water Ski Children, Wakeboard Baseline and Towable HO Mavericks, the children's skis making her a natural choice for younger swimmers. Fishing gear and snorkeling gear are aboard too, and a deck shower waits for the climb back on.
