XIPHIAS takes her name from the swordfish, and her classic lines carry it well. Esterel built her as a motor yacht of an older school, and a careful refit has lightened her interiors without erasing that character. Furnishings are chosen for comfort rather than display, the colours are soft and neutral, and wide windows keep the water in view from most rooms. Detailing is restrained, so the mood aboard stays quiet and unhurried. For guests who would rather travel on a yacht with some history in her shape than on another modern hull, she offers a particular and settled kind of ease.
Every cabin has its own bathroom, and the plan is unusual. The master suite spans her full beam on the lower deck, removed from the movement of the rest of the yacht. The VIP cabin sits up on the upper deck, where daylight comes in freely, and it has a walk-in closet, something seldom found aboard a yacht of her proportions. Twin cabins complete the arrangement, comfortable for children or for friends content to share a room. With the principal suites on separate decks, the guests in each can keep their own hours and wake without disturbing anyone else.
Much of the day is spent outside. The main and upper decks give room to linger over breakfast at the stern, take lunch in the open air, or settle with a drink higher up as evening comes on. Her Zero Speed Stabilizers (CMC) reduce roll whether she is lying in a bay or making a passage, which makes a real difference at the table and in the cabins when the sea is unsettled. She is also handy enough to slip into secluded coves and shallower anchorages that larger yachts must pass by.
The water is never far away. Her toys include a Seabob, a Seadoo Spark iBR, a Tiwal yellow furling sail, a Jobe Aero Yarra SUP Board, a Jobe Water Ski, a Jobe Stimmel Multi Position Board, an Inflatable Sofa, an Inflatable Tube and a Searaft Inflatable Platform with swim ladder and net, alongside diving and snorkelling equipment. The Launch GT Chris-Craft tender and a Novamarine tender with Yamaha outboard take guests ashore or into narrow inlets. Greece is among her cruising grounds, and her experienced crew offer warm, attentive service wherever she goes.
